
Critical Care Fellowship
The Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, in partnership with the Department of Emergency Medicine, offers a two-year Critical Care Medicine Fellowship for qualified and interested graduates of ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency programs. Successful completion of this two-year fellowship will lead to ABIM subspecialty Board Eligibility in Critical Care Medicine.

The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship will accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
Clinical Rotations
The institutions within the One Brooklyn Health System offer a well-rounded, rigorous, and challenging clinical experience, exposing the Emergency Medicine-Critical Care Medicine Fellow to a diverse range of pathology.
Clinical exposure is combined with a range of educational and didactic activities to enhance educational experience. Clinical rotations provide ample opportunities to further develop and hones procedural skills. Rotations offer exposure to:

Didactics
Clinical exposure is combined with a range of educational and didactic activities to enhance educational experience. In addition to supervised interdisciplinary ICU teaching rounds, educational activities include weekly conferences, journal clubs, simulation, supervised critical care echocardiography and ultrasonography, board review, and interactive case discussions. It is expected that the Emergency Medicine-Critical Care Fellow will take on teaching responsibilities as well. Quality improvement projects are encouraged.
Additional Opportunities
Fellows will also have the opportunity to moonlight as an attending in a busy urban academic Emergency Department.
Who should apply?
Candidates must be a graduate of a certified ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Candidates are to apply through ERAS.
